Racism, guns, reality, part two

Here’s an interesting article: http://www.cnn.com/2011/POLITICS/06/20/us.fast.and.furious/index.html?hpt=hp_t2 One of many found online. Here’s another: http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=311553 And how about this?: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/06/15/house-panel-slams-fast-and-furious-gun-operation-tied-to-border-agents-death/ Want more?: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/06/14/house-panel-releases-scathing-report-on-fast-and-furious-gun-operation-sure-to/ (Sorry if you have to cut and paste, but it is worthwhile reading if you’re concerned about our country.)
Remember when Hillary was saying too many guns move from the U.S. to Mexico and therefore we need more U.S. anti-guns laws? As if the 20,000 plus gun laws on the books aren’t hefty enough? Well, if you’ve noticed the many stories, mostly on WND.com and not the MSM (although one of the above links is from WND.com, it does lead to a CNN article), it appears most, if not all, of these guns were allowed to go to Mexico with the blessing of the BATFE (Bureau of alcohol, tobacco, firearms, and explosives (ATF)).
What did Hillary know and when did she know it? Ditto Obama. Does the administration know what their minions are doing? Can they wink and nod and throw someone under the bus for this egregious lack of common sense? If they can, what are the chances they will? Want to take that bet? C’mon, you know they will if given the chance. There will be spokesmen and speeches and spinning like you won’t believe. The coach always takes the praise or the blame for the team. Except now, in this administration. Praise is accepted in a narcissistic manner, blame is put on the previous administration. In this case there is too much to blame. The higher ups will go to full cover up mode.
2,000 plus guns make it from the U.S. to Mexico under the “watchful” eye of the ATF. A Border Patrol agent is killed by a person with a gun that was allowed to go south by Operation Fast and Furious. ATF agents that disagree with said operation are told to sit down, shut up, go with the program. Whistleblowers are threatened and intimidated. Is this the kind of story Americans want to be hearing about their own government or the kind of story that used to be put out about our enemies during the Cold War? Remember, we were the good guys back then? With this kind of operation, can we still be?
Ok, what’s this got to do with “Guns, Racism, Reality” from my previous post? Everything. Looking back, you’ll see I quoted Chicago Police Supt. McCarthy as saying, “So here’s what I want to tell you. See, let’s see if we can make a connection here. Slavery. Segregation. Black codes. Jim Crow. What, what did they all have in common? Anybody getting’ scared? Government sponsored racism.”
“Now I want you to connect one more dot on that chain of the African American history in this country, and tell me if I’m crazy. Federal gun laws that facilitate the flow of illegal firearms, into our urban centers across this country, that are killing our black and brown children,” he said.
Again, there are at least 20,000 gun laws. What kind of efficiency, what kind of efficacy, how many lives are saved, how many lives are lost, how much destruction of our sacred Constitution, is realized with such laws, rules, regulations, mandates, and programs? The liberals always say, “If it saves one life…” Well, what about the life of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry?
South of the border it’s mostly “brown lives” that would be saved if Operation Fast and Furious never came to fruition. On the U.S. side, being a nation of immigrants of all races, creeds, and colors, the operation has the affirmative action chance of killing all races, creeds, and colors.
Do we say “thank you” to our illustrious governement for putting together such a wonderful program? Or do we say “f u, what were you thinking?” I’m voting the latter. What in the world were those brilliant college grads thinking when they thought this would be a good program? Unfortunately, book smarts apparently don’t translate to common sense. Hmmmm, Common Sense, didn’t Thomas Paine write that? Do you think our government officials may need to read that? And maybe the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution?
They seem to be lacking in American history knowledge. They seem to have an “elitist” attitude that they know better than we commoners. Or is it that they think we commoners can’t take care of ourselves and need the big brother government dictate all we do, think, and say? Is Operation Fast and Furious intelligent? I say no. It’s one of the biggest and deadliest boondoggles we’ve seen.
Can you imagine the meeting that brought this stupid operation to the fore? “Yeah, that’s a great idea, let straw purchasers buy guns that will go to Mexico.” “We’ll intimidate the American gun store owners to make ’em sell guns they know they shouldn’t.” “Sure, we can track ’em south of the border.” “If some bleeping Mexicans get killed, who cares?” “Tell the Mexican government? What’re ya crazy?” “Huh? A Border Patrol Agent was killed by a gun we let go?”
